Ronald Kranzler, CPA.CITP Ron Kranzler is managing partner of HKMP. He has extensive experience serving a wide range of corporate and individual clients in numerous industries. Ron began his career with Deloitte and Touche and served as a controller for a large public company before returning to public practice.

Joining HKMP as a partner, he brought to the firm superior technical skills and a commitment to providing personalized service to each and every client. Since becoming managing partner in 1985, he has been instrumental in contributing to the firm’s growth through his emphasis on quality and customized service.

Ron earned a B.S. degree from Long Island University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Fraud Examiners, and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors. Additionally, he is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and currently serves on its Closely Held & S Corporations Committee and the Mergers & Acquisitions Committee.

Russell Kranzler, CPA, Cr.FA Russell Kranzler is the HKMP partner in charge of forensic accounting and auditing. A CPA and Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA), Russell possesses the investigative skills, accounting knowledge and financial acumen to address complex business problems associated with bankruptcies, insurance claims, frauds, and contract disputes.

He is frequently called on to provide forensic accounting and bankruptcy services as well as litigation support, including expert witness testimony. His wide range of corporate accounting, auditing, tax and consulting experience enhances his credibility as an expert witness. He is also frequently called upon to assist attorneys, private investigation firms and insurance companies in identifying claims involving business interruption, employee dishonesty, burglary, theft and the valuation of losses as a result of an insured peril.

A graduate of Ohio State University, Russell is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA), The NYSSCPA Litigation Service Committee, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the American College of Forensic Examiners.

Timothy McCosker, CPA Tim McCosker is HKMP’s partner in charge of corporate taxation and bankruptcy services. Tim is frequently the lead partner in many engagements involving corporate insolvencies and restructurings as well as in providing support services to trustees in bankruptcy.

Tim specializes in audits of employee benefit plans and charitable foundations and is an expert in accounting for the construction industry. In addition, he provides tax and management consulting services to a diversified group of clients in both the public and private sectors.

Tim oversees the firm’s quality control programs, ensuring that the firm maintains compliance with professional standards of practice.

Tim holds a BA from Baruch College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and the NYSSCPA Bankruptcy and Financial Reorganization Committee. He has also served on the Society's Construction Accounting Committee.

Anthony Pulice, CPA, CFE Anthony Pulice is HKMP’s partner in charge of the trusts and estates practice. He specializes in serving family owned businesses for which he provides financial consulting, tax planning and accounting services. Tony works closely with clients and their legal advisors to examine wills, trusts and business agreements, including business succession and transfer strategies.

As a CPA and Certified Fraud Examiner, Tony is also an expert in forensic accounting and litigation support. His extensive accounting and tax experience and knowledge of business operations enables him to conduct thorough investigations and produce high quality information that will stand up to legal scrutiny.

Tony holds a BBA and MBA in Accounting from Pace University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also a member of the NYSSCPA Estate Planning Committee.

Thomas Scotti, CPA Thomas Scotti, CPA, a partner at HKMP since December 2005, graduated in 1999 from Queens College with a BA in both Accounting and Economics. Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). He is also an Associate Member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Tom assists clients in industries as varied as wholesale liquor distribution, financial services and construction. His clients in these industries range from businesses with capitalization of several billion dollars to small closely-held family-owned businesses. Tom also assists high net worth individuals with regards to tax planning.

In addition to his client responsibilities, Tom supervises the training and development of new hires at HKMP.

Stephen Barrett, CPA.CITP, MCP Stephen R. Barrett, CPA.CITP, MCP, is the Director of Information Technology at Held, Kranzler, McCosker & Pulice, LLP (HKMP), and a partner in HKMP Technologies, LLP. He has a BA in both Accounting and Economics from Queens College. Stephen is a certified trainer for CaseWare Working papers and a member of the AICPA as well as the NYSSCPA. He was the project manager for the firm’s migration to paperless engagements and is currently responsible for the firm’s continued automation projects, which includes training, on-going support and maintenance. He has played a significant role in HKMP’s establishment as a national leader in accounting technology.

Stephen continues to hone his skills by working in public practice on various accounting engagements. His unique combination of accounting skills and IT mastery has made him a true expert in his field. Stephen actively consults with firms of all sizes to help construct and customize paperless and automated environments.
